Rosso di Montalcino Brunelli

Rosso di Montalcino is made from the Sangiovese grape variety and is grown exclusively in the vineyards of the municipality of Montalcino in the province of Siena (Tuscany). Sangiovese is the most widely grown red grape variety in Italy and is the basis of such famous wines as Chianti, Brunello and vino nobile di Montepulciano. Sangiovese means the blood of Jupiter and has a centuries-old history.

Sasso Bucato IGT Russo

45% merlot, 45% cabernet sauvignon and 10% petit verdot the sasso bucato is the flagship of the azienda agricola russo. There are large boulders on the vineyard property. In the past, marble was quarried here. To find the precious marble, holes were drilled in the rock: sasso bucato – the pierced stone. After the varietal vinification and a twelve-month elk barrel aging, michele composes the assemblage sasso bucato that he carefully draws on the bottle three months later. It stands out for its purple velvety color, full-bodied flavor with pronounced fruity accents.
